Description
Our DOwnpatrick Client requires a PT Temp Lifesaving Teacher.
DUTIES:
•Teach lifesaving and associated theory at all grades.
•Teach resuscitation at all levels.
•Prepare lesson plans and schedules with realistic targets and to prepare pupils for examination to suit their levels of ability.
•To deliver a high quality customer service in line with the agreed Customer Charter.
•To comply with Safety in Swimming Pools Regulations and internal Code of Practice including supervision, life guarding, hygiene and safety procedures.
•To undertake clerical duties including class attendance, record of pupils progress and examination documentation.
•To ensure equipment is in a safe condition and any defects reported immediately.  To re-order stock as required.
•To organise and supervise end of season special events.
•To follow agreed accident procedure and administer first aid if required.
•Ensure emergency and evacuation procedures are carried out efficiently.

The criteria for this post are:-
Current Lifesaving Instructor qualified to deliver the Survive and Save Lifesaving Awards Programme.
PLUS
Current Bronze Medallion or current RLSS Pool Lifeguarding Certificate.

ADDITIONALLY
Previous experience of teaching lifesaving to any range of age groups.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work with the public.
A recognised formal First Aid qualification would be desirable, e.g British Red Cross, St John's Ambulance etc.
